Last day of the detox. To be honest, I’ve felt rather sick the past two days.. I’ve been tired, had headaches, muscle and joint pain and dizziness. I read that a detox allows the body to release old bacteria, viruses and toxins that needs to be flushed out. And that it can feel like you temporary have a disease when these are being released. The cure is to drink plenty of water and to keep going to do the full cleanse. Knowing this helped a lot and towards this evening I started to feel better – yay!
Despite this I like the detox, it feels good for my body and I’m sure I’ll feel better the coming days. I can recommend to do it when you don’t have a lot going on, since it leaves little room for flexibility. I went to Starbucks yesterday to try to get some work done. They didn’t have green tea, so I bought water for 3€. Not only was it super expensive, the guy in the cashier thought I didn’t understand him when he asked “Vous voulez autre chose?“. I could understand him, who goes to Starbucks to only buy a water for 3€? Lol.
Day 3: Breakfast and lunch – Melon and blueberry smoothie (split it two):
- 1 melon with seeds and all (but take the skin off)
- 1 crop of salad
- 1 cup of blueberries
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1/4 cup of linseed
Simply mix all the ingredients in a blender.
My rating: 3 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Day 3: Dinner – Cucumber and avocado soup
- 2 granny smith apples (the peel taken off and without the inside)
- 1 cucumber
- 1 lemon
- 2 average size avocados
- 1 bit of sea salt or Himalaya salt
- 1 bit of cayenne pepper
- 5 leaves of mint
- 3 twigs of parsley
- Water to make it thinner (or mint tea)
Put everything in the blender, except the mint leaves which you add at the end. Et voilà !
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️
